These Terms & Conditions govern your use of firestreakbooks.com and the purchase of products from our shop. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. Who We Are
The site is operated by Firestreak Books, an independent publisher of limited-edition aviation books. You can contact us at info@firestreakbooks.com, which is our main point of contact for all orders and enquiries.
2. Products & Pricing
We take care to describe our books accurately. Colours and finishes may vary slightly from images on screen. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices and product availability at any time. Titles are printed in limited runs and may sell out; where a title is out of stock you can register to be notified if it is reprinted.
3. Orders & Payment
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed once we confirm and accept your order. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (for example, if an item is out of stock or a pricing error occurs), in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full. Payment is taken securely at checkout through PayPal, which also processes debit and credit card payments. We do not store your full card details.
4. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders promptly and will provide delivery estimates at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Any customs duties or import taxes on international orders are the responsibility of the customer.
5. Returns & Refunds
If you are a consumer, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods and return them for a refund, provided they are returned in their original, unused and resaleable condition. Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or was sent in error. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the returned goods are received and checked. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including photography, text, book designs, logos and layout — is the property of Firestreak Books and its authors and is protected by copyright. The photography and written material in our books, much of it original work by the aircrew who flew the aircraft, may not be reproduced, copied or distributed without our prior written permission.
7. Use of the Website
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation. We may suspend or withdraw the site or any product at any time.
8. Limitation of Liability
We provide the site and our products with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. External Links
Our site may link to third-party websites, such as Callsign Collective. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting the statutory rights of consumers.
